Service Description

Are you training for a running event? Do you want to enhance your running performance but feel you need guidance in strength training? Or maybe you need some motivation from a group setting. If the answer is yes to any of the above, then this class is for you. This is a strength class designed for runners to help prevent injuries by strengthening muscles and connective tissues, boost neuromuscular coordination and power and improve running stride efficiency. The focus will be to lift and build strength and power, not on raising your heart rate, using a combination of compound exercises to work the full body such as lunges, squats, rows or deadlifts. There will also be an emphasis on single-leg exercises as this will help to iron out any imbalances (most of us have one leg slightly stronger than the other). And finally expect a combination of body weight exercises to build core strength. The course duration is 4 weeks long which will enable you to settle into a routine and learn the exercises. You can also track your progress week on week. Should you have any injuries please give this information to the instructor so exercises can be modified.
